Three suspects arrested over Colombo Port narcotics haul
Sri Lanka, Aug. 31 -- Three suspects, including two Pakistani nationals, were taken into custody in connection with the discovery of over 463 kilograms of suspected "ICE" at the Colombo Port.
Central Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) officers carried out the arrest at a hotel in Colombo, police stated.
The seized consignment of suspected crystal methamphetamine holds a market value exceeding Rs. 8 billion, Deputy Inspector General of Police Ashoka Dharmasena from the Police Narcotic Bureau stated.
Police took steps to report facts to the court on the 17th following information received by the Central Crime Investigation Bureau regarding two suspicious containers at the CICT terminal of the Colombo Port.
