Sri Lanka, Oct. 14 -- President Judge of the Court of Appeal Rohantha Abeysuriya appointed a three-judge bench to consider the petitions filed requesting an order invalidating the decision taken by prison authorities to remove the robe of Venerable Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera, who was sentenced to prison.

Accordingly, a judge bench comprising Amal Ranaraja, Mahen Gopallawa, and Priyantha Fernando was appointed to consider the relevant petitions.

This three-judge bench was appointed after the President Judge of the Court of Appeal informed that he was recusing himself from the judge bench considering the relevant petitions.
