Sri Lanka, May 20 -- Three Chinese air passengers who illegally brought a stock of mobile phones and mobile phone batteries worth 5,140,000, suspected to be intended for cybercrimes, were arrested last night.

Airport customs officers arrested them while they attempted to pass through the Green Channel of the Bandaranaike International airport arrival terminal.

A 34-year-old Chinese woman and two 35-year-old Chinese men were arrested in this manner.

They arrived at Katunayake airport from Shanghai, China, aboard a China Eastern Airlines flight yesterday.
