Sri Lanka, Sept. 22 -- Three suspects, including two women, were arrested this morning (22) after a team of officers from the Giriulla Police Station gave chase to a car following information received regarding a drug trafficker.

Police officers fired, targeting the tyres of the car as the suspect drove, ignoring orders.

A video clip depicting the incident also recorded the operation conducted by the police.

Along with the suspect driver and two female suspects in the rear seat, 15 grammes and 260 milligrammes of heroin and 924,770 rupees suspected to have been earned from drug trafficking were taken into police custody during the raid, it was reported.
