Sri Lanka, June 3 -- Statements circulating on social media claiming that the 1990 emergency ambulance service (Suwa Sariya) will be discontinued is completely false and misleading, says the Chairman of the 1990 Suwasariya Foundation, Major Niroshan Ratnayake (Retired).

In a statement, he said the administration of the 1990 emergency ambulance service has taken note of the false information circulating on social media.

He further stated that the 1990 emergency ambulance service continues to operate islandwide and provides its services in an improved and efficient manner as usual.

The statement also assures that the service will continue without any interruption in the future.
