Sri Lanka, Sept. 10 -- The Colombo North Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau has arrested a 23-year-old youth from Mattakkuliya in possession of narcotics for aiding and abetting the fatal shooting of organized criminal Kanjipani Imran's relative outside a shop on Sri Sangharaja Mawatha in Kotahena.

The shooting occurred on the afternoon of 10 August when two individuals on a Pulsar motorcycle opened fire, killing 33-year-old Mehomad Asmin Mohidin of Kirulapona, Colombo 05. Police have since confirmed that the victim was Kanjipani Imran's paternal uncle.
