Sri Lanka, June 15 -- A suspect has been arrested in the Horombawa area of Narammala along with a container truck carrying goods imported without paying customs duties, the Kuliyapitiya Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau said.

The operation was carried out, yesterday (14), based on a tip-off, and the arrested suspect and the container with goods have been handed over to the Kuliyapitiya Police Station for further investigations, according to Police Headquarters.

The suspect is a 41-year-old resident of the Horombawa area.

Items found inside the container include 190 bottles of foreign-made liquor, motorcycle parts, 42 motorcycle chassis, 44 motorcycle engines, bicycles and bicycle parts, 6 forklifts, 3 excavators, as well as a la...
