Suresh Sallay's writ consideration postponed
Sri Lanka, July 21 -- The Court of Appeal ordered today (21) to call the writ application presented by former Director of the State Intelligence Service Major General (Retd.) Suresh Sallay, challenging his arrest and detention relevant to the investigations conducted regarding the Easter Sunday terror attack incident, on July 27 for further consideration of facts.
When the petition was called today (21), President's Counsel Sanjeeva Jayawardena, appearing for Sallay, concluded his submissions.
Thereafter, the court ordered to postpone further consideration of the petition until July 27.
Deputy Solicitor General Suharshi Herath is scheduled to present facts on behalf of the Attorney General on that day.
