Sri Lanka, April 22 -- Former State Intelligence Service Chief Suresh Salley, currently held under detention orders regarding the Easter Sunday attacks, will remain in custody and reappear in court on May 20.
Fort Magistrate Isuru Nettikumara issued this order today (22) following a request from the Criminal Investigation Department.
During the proceedings, defence counsel Asith Siriwardena informed the court that the third suspect in the case wishes to provide a special statement before the Magistrate.
Addressing this request, the Magistrate noted that judicial procedure typically allows a suspect time to reconsider before making such a statement.
