Sri Lanka, April 11 -- Showers or thundershowers are likely in parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western, Southern, and Uva provinces, as well as the Anuradhapura, Mannar, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts after 2:00 p.m. today (11).

The Department of Meteorology announced that mainly dry weather prevails across the rest of the island.

Misty conditions may occur in some areas of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces during the early morning.

The public is requested to take necessary precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Meanwhile, the sun is directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka from April 05 to 15 due to its apparent northward relative motion.
