Sri Lanka, April 9 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasted, Showers or thunderstorms in few places within the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as the Galle, Matara, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and Mannar districts after 2:00 PM today (09),

Mainly dry weather conditions prevail in the rest of the island.

Misty conditions can be expected in some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces, and the Ampara district during the early morning.

The department requests the public to take necessary measures to minimize accidents caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
