Sri Lanka, Nov. 3 -- Sufficient fertiliser stocks required for the Maha season are currently available within the country with distribution activities already underway, National Fertiliser Secretariat Director Chandana Lokuhewage emphasized.

Outlining the supply breakdown, the Director stated that 180,000 metric tons of urea are required for the Maha season.

Around 33,000 metric tons were already distributed at the regional level, while approximately 42,000 metric tons remain with companies.

Additionally, three vessels carrying fertiliser arrived at the port late last month, with 98,700 metric tons of urea currently being unloaded.
