Sri Lanka, Oct. 30 -- Lecturers across all state universities are conducting a one-day strike today (30) over several issues, including shortages of academic staff and physical resources, as well as excessive workloads.

A walkout is organised near the University of the Visual and Performing Arts this morning to coincide with the strike.

The federation issued a statement noting that a media briefing is also scheduled to take place in Colombo.
