Sri Lanka, March 10 -- A person was admitted to the Kalutara Nagoda Teaching Hospital following a knife attack during a dispute between two groups early yesterday morning (9).

South Kalutara Police reported that the incident occurred at the stadium near the Kalutara railway station, where a carnival was being held.

The victim was identified as Osanda Samajith, a resident of Loolaalamulla.

According to police, the clash broke out between two groups who were dancing while a musical concert was taking place at the carnival grounds.

In connection with this incident, authorities arrested a 25-year-old resident of Palathota and an 18-year-old from South Kalutara.
