Sri Lanka, Sept. 24 -- Member of Parliament Dr Harsha de Silva, together with seven members of the Committee on Public Finance (COPF) and the Chairman of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE), has concluded a 12-day International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in the United States focused on public finance and governance.

The programme was conducted at the invitation of the United States Department of State and coordinated by the US Embassy in Sri Lanka.

The visit formed part of an ongoing engagement initiated by the Committee on Public Finance with the US Embassy to exchange knowledge and experience on the establishment of a Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) in Sri Lanka, drawing on the experience of the US Congressional Budget...
