Sri Lanka rupee weakens as bond yields rise
Sri Lanka, Sept. 16 -- Sri Lanka's rupee weakened against the US dollar on Tuesday, closing at 330.70/331.00 in the spot market, compared with 329.15/35 on the previous day. Bond yields also ended higher, dealers said.
The bond maturing on September 15, 2027, was quoted at 9.90/10.20%, up from 9.80/9.95% previously, while the bond maturing on March 15, 2028, was quoted at 10.35/45%.
The December 15, 2029 bond was quoted at 10.92/11.00%, compared with 10.75/10.90% previously.
The August 1, 2030 bond rose to 11.35/40% from 11.10/15%, while the October 15, 2030 bond was quoted at 11.40/45%, up from 11.15/35%.
The December 15, 2032 bond was quoted at 11.80/85%, compared with 11.60/65% previously.
