Sri Lanka, Sept. 25 -- Minister of Public Administration Chandana Abeyratne announced that the government has commenced a comprehensive programme to recruit more than 120,000 individuals into the state service this year.

The initiative is designed to fill existing vacancies throughout the public sector, with particular emphasis on the education, health, and agriculture fields.

As part of this recruitment drive, approximately 30,000 teachers are scheduled to be hired, and the relevant competitive examinations will be conducted shortly.

Candidates who pass the exam will subsequently be called for interviews, with all necessary preparations already completed by authorities.
