Sri Lanka, Sept. 2 -- Under the ongoing development cooperation between the Japanese government and Sri Lanka, seven low-floor buses have been donated to uplift the country's public transport service.

It is reported that these buses were provided to Sri Lanka as a joint donation from the Japanese government and the residents of Yokohama, Japan.

The official handover of the seven buses to the Sri Lankan government took place under the patronage of the Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka, Akio Isomata.

These buses are scheduled to be utilized to improve public transport services in the country.
