Sri Lanka, May 13 -- Sri Lanka Customs reached a significant milestone yesterday by surpassing one trillion rupees in revenue collection for the year 2026. Achieving such a massive revenue target before the middle of the year represents a historic landmark in the history of the department.

Sri Lanka Customs stated that this historic limit was reached on 12 May, further confirming the department's contribution toward meeting government revenue targets. According to a statement issued by Sri Lanka Customs, the department expects to continue this revenue growth throughout the remainder of 2026 to further strengthen the national economy.
