Sri Lanka, May 30 -- The Sri Lanka Army has announced that Major General Nilantha Premaratne of the Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment has been appointed as the 69th Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army.

The appointment takes effect from yesterday (29).
