Sri Lanka, Oct. 15 -- Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath and Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev held discussions regarding the strengthening of cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, and energy sectors, including oil and gas supply between Sri Lanka and Azerbaijan.

The Foreign Minister mentioned that this meeting occurred during his visit to Azerbaijan to attend the 7th summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Attention focused particularly on enhancing cooperation in the energy sector, including oil and gas supply.
