Sri Lanka, Aug. 24 -- The Sri Lanka Air Force states that a 'New Air Force CCTV Monitoring Operations Room' was established at the Pettah bus station with the objective of ensuring the safety and security of the public.

The Sri Lanka Air Force mentions that the CCTV monitoring system in this new operations room, established at the Pettah bus station, was modernised under the 'Clean Sri Lanka' project and functions 24 hours a day.

The SLAF states that through this new system, Air Force personnel were able yesterday (23) to immediately arrest a suspect who stole a passenger's bag at the Pettah bus station.
