Spending 13 years in current school education system viewed as waste of time - Prime Minister
Sri Lanka, July 18 -- A view built up within society that spending a period of 13 years within the current school education system constitutes a waste of time.
Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya stated this whilst participating in a workshop held in Colombo yesterday (17) to formulate the transformational framework of the general education sector for the years 2026-2033.
Parents currently show greater interest in bilingual education and educational methods that can be concluded more quickly, Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya further pointed out whilst speaking at the event.
