Sri Lanka, Sept. 30 -- A special religious ceremony to invoke blessings on Sri Lanka Army flags was held at the historic Kataragama Kirivehera sacred site and the Kataragama Maha Devalaya premises in connection with the 77th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.

The religious rituals were conducted under the guidance of the Mahanayake of the historic Kataragama Kirivehera Rajamaha Vihara, most Venerable Kobawaka Dhamminda Nayaka Thera Thera, alongside the Maha Sangha.

The special offering, attended by Army Commander Lieutenant General Nilantha Premaratne, invoked blessings on the Sri Lanka Army flag, regimental flags, and unit flags.
