Sri Lanka, June 3 -- A shooting incident was reported last night (02) at around 10.45 p.m. near the Kiriella Matuwagala temple on the Ratnapura-Ingiriya road, where shots were fired into the air.

Police Headquarters said two cars approaching from opposite directions had stopped face-to-face on the road, leading to an argument between the occupants, which escalated into the shooting.

Investigations revealed that a person in one of the vehicles fired a licensed revolver into the air during the dispute before both parties fled the scene.

Later, a team of Ratnapura Police officers visited the home of the individual believed to have been in possession of the firearm. During questioning, it was reported that two persons linked to the vehicle...
