Sri Lanka, May 19 -- Sri Lanka signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Russia to secure technological and investment cooperation aimed at upgrading the railway services.

The agreement was finalised between the Russian Ministry of Transport State Secretary and Deputy Minister Dmitry S. Zverev and Sri Lankan Transport Minister Bimal Ratnayake.

The signing took place when Minister Rathnayake participated at the seventeenth International Economic Forum held in Kazan, Russia.
