SL celebrates World Environment Day
Sri Lanka, June 5 -- The 2026 National World Environment Day celebrations were held today (05) at the President's House under the theme 'Let's Unite to Mitigate Climate Change,' with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in attendance.
The Presidential Media Division stated that the current government's environmental policy is based on a vision of ensuring a sustainable environment that supports the survival of all living beings, while maintaining a balance between socio-economic development and environmental protection. Priority, it said, has been given to building a healthy society within a well-balanced ecosystem.
