Sri Lanka, May 27 -- Rainfall can be expected even tomorrow (28) in the south-western parts of the island as the south-west monsoon established across the country, the Department of Meteorology states.

The department declared that showers or thundershowers may occur from time to time in some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces and in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts.

Meanwhile, fairly strong winds between 30 and 40 kilometres per hour can occur from time to time on the western slopes of the central hills, in the Northern, North-Central, North-Western, and Southern provinces, and in the Trincomalee district.
