Sri Lanka, Sept. 11 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasts Showers in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.

Rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva and Eastern provinces and Mullaittivu district after 2:00 PM.

The department requests the public to take necessary precautions to minimise damage caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thundershowers.
