Sri Lanka, Sept. 27 -- Showers may occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts, during the next 36 hours, according to the Department of Meteorology.

Issuing a statement, the department stated that showers may also occur at scattered locations in the Uva and Eastern provinces, as well as in the Polonnaruwa and Mullaittivu districts, after 2:00 PM tomorrow (28).

Meanwhile, the heat index-the temperature felt on the human body-is expected to reach a level requiring caution tomorrow in the North Central and Eastern provinces, as well as in the Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mullaittivu, Vavuniya, Monaragala, and Hambantota districts.
