Sri Lanka, March 21 -- The Kirinda Police have initiated an investigation to apprehend a group of individuals who opened fire towards the Yala National Reserve before fleeing the scene. The incident occurred near the wildlife roadblock on the Kirinda-Yala road.

Authorities suspect that the shooting was carried out by a group of poachers. Following the incident, three special police teams have been deployed to track down and arrest the suspects involved in the breach.

Police Media Spokesperson, Assistant Superintendent of Police F.U. Wootler, confirmed that extensive operations are underway to bring the perpetrators to justice.
