Sri Lanka, Oct. 8 -- The Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court today (07) ordered former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa to be remanded until October 13, despite a bail application by her legal counsel citing severe life-threatening health risks, including blocked heart arteries and sudden fainting spells.
Appearing on behalf of Shiranthi Rajapaksa in connection with the Siriliya case, President's Counsel Anil Silva informed the court that his 73-year-old client suffers from multiple medical conditions and has been receiving treatment for cardiac issues since 2019.
