Sri Lanka, March 2 -- Seven vehicles parked at a private facility in the Makola Y-Junction area were completely destroyed following a sudden fire. Sapugaskanda Police and the Kelaniya Division Criminal Investigation Laboratory are conducting further inquiries into the incident.

The blaze consumed two cars, two lorries, and three jeeps. While the total financial loss is yet to be officially calculated, estimates suggest it amounts to several crores of rupees.

No one was present at the site when the fire broke out around midnight yesterday (01st). Local residents alerted the Sapugaskanda Police, who coordinated with the Colombo Fire Service to prevent the flames from spreading to adjacent areas.
