Sri Lanka, Sept. 29 -- Senior officials at the Criminal Investigation Department stated that this was to obtain a statement regarding an ongoing investigation into the discovery of a container holding 472 kilograms of ice narcotics valued at over Rs. 8 billion inside a container at the Colombo port.

Senior Deputy Inspector General Ranmal Kodituwakku oversees the Central Crime Investigation Bureau.

Reports indicate that approval has been requested from the National Police Commission to transfer six officers, including Senior Deputy Inspector General Ranmal Kodituwakku and Deputy Inspector General Asoka Dharmasena, who is in charge of the Narcotics Bureau division.
