Sajith accuses government of neglecting farmers
Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- The current government is giving stepmotherly treatment to the people engaged in farming, and the children, youth, and mothers in the country today are facing severe pressure and distress, while the rights of farmers, fishermen, and workers have been snatched away by this government, states Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.
The Opposition Leader made these remarks while addressing a Samagi Jana Balawegaya membership drive public meeting held in the Elawaka area of the Medawachchiya constituency in the Anuradhapura district.
