Sacred Kapilawasthu relics return to Waskaduwa today following Hiru exposition
Sri Lanka, June 3 -- The sacred Kapilavastu relics of the Lord Buddha, which brought solace to hundreds of thousands of devotees for two full days at the historic Mahiyanganaya Temple, are being returned to the Waskaduwa Sri Subhuthi Temple.
The authentic Kapilavastu sacred relics arrived at the Pallebedda Sankhapala Rajamaha Temple last night, and devotees have the opportunity to venerate the relics at the temple from last night until this morning (3).
Hiru Uththama Dhatu Wandana, held concurrently with the Hiru Shakyasingha Mangalyaya, initiated based on a concept of the Chairman of Hiru Media Network, Rayynor Silva, commenced at the historic Mahiyangana Rajamaha Temple sacred grounds on the 31st.
