Srilanka, March 29 -- The Sri Lankan Rupee recorded a 1.4% depreciation against the US Dollar so far this year.

Central Bank weekly economic data indicates that the total liquidity deficit stands at a surplus of Rs. 288.31 billion.

The Central Bank further noted that the value of bills and bonds remained broadly stable, except for a slight decrease.
