Rs. 2.4bn cardiology unit launched at Trincomalee general hospital
Sri Lanka, Sept. 16 -- Construction of the new cardiology unit building at the Trincomalee District General Hospital was initiated today (16) under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The project is being implemented at a cost of 2,403 million rupees under a health and medical service improvement project by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to strengthen facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The initiative aims to provide comprehensive and modern cardiac care services to the people of the Eastern Province from a single location.
