Sri Lanka, June 13 -- The Department of Meteorology says that wind speeds in the sea areas off the coast from Kankesanthurai to Kalpitiya via Mannar may increase up to 60-70 km/h, and these sea areas could become rough at times.

As a result, naval and fishing communities have been advised not to venture into these sea areas until further notice.

In addition, wind speeds of 50-60 km/h may be experienced in the sea areas off Trincomalee to Kankesanthurai via Mullaitivu, and from Kalpitiya to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota.

Fishermen and seafarers operating in these regions are also urged to remain cautious due to the adverse weather conditions.
