Sri Lanka, July 28 -- Six individuals died in transportation incidents that occurred at several places in the country, according to the Police Media Division.

These incidents were reported yesterday within the police divisions of Thirukkovil, Gothatuwa, Wariyapola, Athurugiriya, Tissamaharama, and Chilaw.

On the Thirukkovil-Pottuvil road near Vinayagapuram 01, a three-wheeler travelling to Pottuvil went out of the driver's control, veered off the road, and crashed into a concrete post.

Five injured individuals were admitted to the Thirukkovil Hospital, where a 49-year-old female resident of Kannankuda, who had been traveling in the rear seat of the vehicle, succumbed to her injuries.
