Remanded Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa made the statement while addressing the House.

Lowering the cost of living and providing relief to individuals facing economic hardship was highlighted as an urgent necessity.

Brought to Parliament from remand custody to attend the sitting, the parliamentarian made no reference to his arrest or the ongoing legal case throughout the speech.
