Ravi Seneviratne pleads guilty in driving case
Sri Lanka, July 9 -- The Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security, Senior DIG (Retd) Ravi Seneviratne pleaded guilty today to the charge of failing to prevent a collision.
The charge relates to an incident in 2023 where he drove under the influence on the Marine Drive in Wellawatte.
Mount Lavinia Magistrate Kanchana Neranjala Silva ordered him today to pay a fine of 2,500 rupees.
Lawyers Chandana Perera, Geethma Fernando, and Ajith Nandakumara, appearing for the accused, informed the court that their client pleaded guilty to the first charge of failing to prevent a collision.
