Sri Lanka, April 2 -- Former President and United National Party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe is reportedly recovering fully following a recent medical procedure. Although doctors granted permission for his discharge, he remains in the hospital for a few additional days of rest under medical supervision.

Close associates suggested staying in Singapore to recuperate until after the Sinhala and Tamil New Year; however, Wickremesinghe maintains a firm stance on returning to Sri Lanka as soon as possible. He intends to manage political activities from home, expressing a desire to be present in the country during challenging times for the public.
