Sri Lanka, May 2 -- Scattered showers or thundershowers may occur after 1:00 p.m. today in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, and Eastern provinces, as well as in the Polonnaruwa, Galle, and Matara districts.

The Department of Meteorology issued a statement noting that rain could also affect coastal areas of the Southern province and the Kalutara and Colombo districts during the morning hours.

Mist is anticipated in some places within the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces, along with the Ampara and Polonnaruwa districts, during the early morning.
