Sri Lanka, March 1 -- Energy Deputy Minister Mohamed Ilyas Mohamed Arkam warns that the QR system for fuel distribution could be reinstated if the public continues unnecessary hoarding.

During a media briefing regarding domestic fuel reserves amidst the Middle East crisis, Arkam clarified that sufficient stocks currently exist within the country.

The Deputy Minister stressed that the restrictive measures remain a secondary option only if panic buying destabilises current supply chains.
