Puttalam sky light possible fireball-type meteor, says astrophysicist
Sri Lanka, June 3 -- Sri Lankan Astrophysicist Prof. Chandana Jayaratne says, explaining the bright light observed in the skies over Puttalam early hours of today, it is highly possible that it could have been a fireball-type meteor.
Residents in Puttalam town and the vicinity, observed a bright beam of light in the sky during the early hours of the day.
Professor Jayaratne, is the Professor of Physics at the University of Colombo and the Chairman of the Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Modern Technologies.
