Sri Lanka, March 17 -- Private tuition classes are prohibited on Wednesdays, which are now declared special government holidays, Essential Services Commissioner General Prabath Chandrakeerthi says.
The Commissioner General clarified yesterday (16) that every Wednesday serves as a holiday for government offices, including judicial services, schools, and universities. However, essential state institutions such as Health, Ports, Water Supply, Energy, and Customs are excluded from this special holiday directive.
