Sri Lanka, July 15 -- Private applicants who have not obtained National Identity Cards by the application dates for this year's 2026 GCE (Ordinary Level) examination can register online and submit applications using their guardian's national identity card, according to the Department of Examinations.

A special set of instructions to follow when submitting examination applications for school applicants who have not obtained national identity cards was already provided to school principals, the department stated in a notice.

Applications for this year's Ordinary Level examination are accepted online from 03-23 July.
