Sri Lanka, July 8 -- A prison guard who was receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital after sustaining serious injuries in the Negombo prison clash passed away.

Accordingly, the number of individuals who lost their lives in the incident rose to 28, the prison spokesperson stated.
