Sri Lanka, Aug. 11 -- A prison guard alleged to be supplying drugs in bulk into the Borella Magazine Prison was arrested with a stock of drugs worth over two million rupees, the Mount Lavinia Division Criminal Investigation Bureau states.

Following the arrest of a 32-year-old resident of Waidya Road, Dehiwala, with this stock of drugs in the Mount Lavinia area, he stated during questioning that he obtained this drug parcel according to information regarding the location provided through a WhatsApp phone call by an individual serving a prison sentence in the Magazine Prison.

It was revealed from the suspect that the drug parcel was scheduled to be given to another individual at Wanatha Road, Borella.
